On November 8, 2018 the Skin of Color Society held a networking event at the historic Caucus Club in Detroit, Michigan. The event was held in conjunction with the 2018 Vitiligo International Symposium (VIS). and was well attended by established dermatologists from around the world.
Participants began the meeting networking and enjoying the hors d’oeuvres. Kimberly Miller, SOCS Executive Director, welcomed everyone to the gathering. Dr. Jackson-Richards shared a brief presentation about SOCS, as most attendees were not current SOCS members. James Rigby, from Pfizer, shared information on the current Pfizer research and products being developed for dermatology. Dr. Henry Lim welcomied everyone on behalf of the 2018 VIS. Dr. Iltefat Hamzavi also welcomed everyone and shared the mission and passion of the Global Vitiligo Foundation, the host of the 2018 VIS. The evening ended with additional networking.
