We are so pleased to share that our recent participation in the Annual Medical Education Conference (AMEC2019) presented by the Student National Medical Association in Philadelphia was a great success, with so much interest in dermatology shown among medical students in attendance! The Skin of Color Society jointly sponsored an exhibition booth with the American Academy of Dermatology, the Association of Professors of Dermatology and the Society of Investigative Dermatology, working together to spread interest in the field. Huge thanks to our fantastic volunteer team of SOCS members Candrice Heath, MD, who spearheaded this effort, along with SOCS Founder Susan Taylor, MD, SOCS President Lynn McKinley-Grant, MD, Corey Simpson, MD, Jennifer David, MD, Allison Britt-Kimmins, MD, Oyin Aderibigbe, MD and Tayo Ogunleye, MD.
