Tarannum Jaleel, MD is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Director of the Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) clinic at Duke. Her research is focused on elucidating the role of sex hormones in hidradenitis suppurativa with the aim of identifying novel biomarkers and potentially new therapeutic strategies for this disease.   She is also the director of sponsored clinical trials education at Duke Dermatology and has significant experience in conducting clinical trials.   In addition to her research and clinical care for patients with HS at Duke, she has worked with HS patients in the community to form an active Triangle Hope for HS support group chapter and serves as the co-medical director of the local chapter where she helps organize informative educational sessions several times a year.
