The Skin of Color Society hosted another successful networking event in Williamsburg, Virginia at the Woodlands resort on October 26, 2019. The event took place during the Virginia Dermatology Society’s annual Continuing Medical Education meeting and was well attended by guests representing various corners of the commonwealth. Network attendees varied from medical students, dermatology resident, academicians, private practitioners, members of the Virginia Dermatology society as well as leadership from the American academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Valerie Harvey opened the event by welcoming attendees and informing them on of ongoing activities of the Skin of Color Society. Guests enjoyed heavy hors d’oeuvres while enjoying the picturesque foliage of Colonial Williamsburg. The event was well received with ample positive feedback including members of the VDS leadership requesting a follow-up event at the next VDS annual meeting.
