Have you explored and experienced DEEP?

DEEP stands for the Skin of Color Society’s Dermatology E-learning + Equity Platform.

This innovative, online learning management system is an amazing benefit of your SOCS membership— offering members free, unlimited access to all educational content! (Non-members may enroll in courses for a fee.)

Launched in late 2021, this CME-based platform features a continually expanding catalog of skin of color dermatology educational webinars taught by leading SOCS experts, useful practice management modules, and other SOCS educational resources. In the near future, we will offer video recordings of expert presentations delivered at the 18th Annual Skin of Color Society Scientific Symposium and other exciting content in the near future.

What makes DEEP distinctive?

Our platform provides “DEEP-ers” a way to learn directly from SOCS experts–at their own pace– while earning CME credit from the comfort of their own environments. DEEP is unique in that our educational content is practice-based rather than textbook-based, it is current, and it is highly relevant!

Currently, we are offering the following CME-accredited courses:

  • Overview of Hair Disorders: Cicatricial Alopecia and Non-Scarring Hair and Scalp Disorders, taught by Crystal Aguh, MD, MPH, FAAD and Amy McMichael, MD, FAAD
  • Keloids and Hypertrophic Scarring, taught by Dr. Donald Glass II, MD, PhD, FAAD and Eva Kerby, MD, FAAD.

In the coming months, we will add additional CME courses on Melasma, Vitiligo and Acne in Skin of Color, taught by SOCS expert faculty.

We also offer several practice management modules that address important business topics such as:

  • Setting Your Goals
  • Digital Marketing Plan
  • Your Website
  • SEO
  • Many more topics coming soon!

In addition, DEEP houses insightful webinars presented by a range of dynamic SOCS leaders, covering key topics such as Dermatology Residency Application Process and Grant Writing.

We’re adding new content on a regular basis, so we encourage you to check in to see what’s new that could be relevant to you and your practice!
