Ashley Wysong, MD, FAAD

Dr. Wysong is a tenured Professor and the Founding Chairman and William W. Bruce MD Distinguished Chair at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) Department of Dermatology.  She is an accomplished leader, a nationally recognized Mohs micrographic surgeon, a cancer epidemiologist and translational skin cancer researcher, and a dedicated mentor. Dr. Wysong obtained her master’s degree in epidemiology at Stanford University and her medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine where she was valedictorian. She completed her residency in dermatology at Stanford University where she also served as chief resident and her fellowship in procedural dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery at Scripps Clinic. Dr. Wysong has a broad background in clinical, translational, and outcomes-based research in high-risk squamous cell carcinoma and has a special interest in identifying novel genetic mutations and risk factors in skin cancer patients with skin of color.
