Cheryl Burgess, MD, FAAD

Dr. Cheryl M. Burgess is the founder, medical director, and president of the Center for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, PC in Washington, DC. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Georgetown University and The George Washington University located in the District of Columbia. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Women’s Dermatologic Society, Skin of Color Society and various other dermatologic organizations. She is currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Burgess is a nationally and internationally recognized expert for advanced technology in non-invasive aesthetic procedures. She has lectured and trained physicians extensively on her patented technique of soft tissue enhancement. She is also a clinical research investigator, consultant, advisor and key opinion leader serving on many pharmaceutical advisory boards. She has authored, co-authored and published articles in numerous scientific peer review textbooks and journals.

Dr. Burgess appears as a medical correspondent for dermatology updates on local network news broadcasts and through the social media. She has been recognized as one of the top dermatologists by her peers in the Washingtonian Magazine.
