Thanks to support from many, big things are happening this year as we ready for the 20th Anniversary of the Skin of Color Society in 2024.

The Skin of Color Society Foundation helps support the important work of the Society in these ways:

  • Fund research studies that will expand the state of knowledge for skin of color dermatology
  • Provide mentorship grants to medical students and junior dermatologists who are passionate about skin of color
  • Raise awareness of differing disease presentations in skin of color through various educational platforms
  • Engage collaborative partners in advocacy for skin of color patients

Several milestones have been achieved already, including:

  • Monthly donors currently outnumber annual donors by 2-1
  • We have a number of people who have given or committed to give at the Dr. Susan C. Taylor Society level ($2,500)
  • We have added an Advocacy Committee and are growing our ability to build awareness about skin of color dermatology–all because of you!

We’re on our way, but there is more work to be done! Our goal for the SOCS Foundation is to raise more than $125,000 in the coming year. Many have already given; if that includes you, thank you!

If you haven’t yet donated, we invite you to become a monthly Donor of $15 or more (that’s just $.50/day).
