Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia in Children: A Case Series and Review of the Literature.
This study looked at CCCA in six children and found that five had a family history of CCCA suggesting that genetic susceptibility may play a larger role than previously thought. Read more here.

Dermoscopy and patch testing in patients with lichen planus pigmentosus on face: A cross-sectional observational study in fifty Indian patients.
Facial LPP was studied via dermoscopy and histology in 50 patients. Patch testing suggested a potential role of allergens in facial LPP. Read more here.

Clinical and Histopathological Findings of Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia-Associated Lichen PlanusPigmentosus.
This study reviewed 16 FFA patients with LP pigmentosus and the histopathological findings of the biopsy of LP pigmentosus in 9 patients. The findings revealed a high incidence of perifollicular involvement with occasional changes in sebaceous and sweat glands. Read more here.

Treatment of Acne Scars on Darker Skin Types Using a Noninsulated Smooth Motion, Electronically Controlled Radiofrequency Microneedles Treatment System.
The efficacy and safety of microneedling for acne scars in skin types III to V was evaluated in this study. The findings showed at least 1 acne scar grade improvement in 100% of patients after 3 months. Read more here.

Relationship between skin color and solar elastosis in aged Asian skin: A colorimetric-pathologic correlation.
This study used colorimetric photography techniques to explore the possible relationship between facial skin color and solar elastosis in 22 Korean patients. It concluded that solar elastosis grade increased with age due to actinic damage, but colorimetric skin color data was not correlated with solar elastosis grade. Read more here.

Successful and safe use of Q-switched lasers in the treatment of nevus of Ota in children with phototypes IV-VI.
Through a retrospective case series, this study concluded that treatment of nevus of Ota with Q-switched lasers in children with skin of color is safe and effective. Read more here.

Type 2 Minocycline-induced hyperpigmentation successfully treated with the novel 755 nm picosecond alexandrite laser – a case report.
A case report demonstrated safety and efficacy of the novel 755-nm ps-Alex laser for the treatment of type 2 minocycline-induced hyperpigmentation in an Asian patient with type IV skin. Read more here.
